6 Stars Rocked the Green Carpet @the Oscars

I had a ball watching the show last night.  Here are the 6 stars that embraced the Green Carpet Challenge:

Now 3-time Best Actress Meryl Streep wore Lanvin‘s first ever custom made eco gown. The gown was gold, full-length and made from Eco Certified Fabric sourced with help from Livia Firth’s team at the Green Carpet Challenge.  She looked fabulous as always.

My crush-since-I-was-ten, Kenneth Branagh, wore an Ermenegildo Zegna navy made-to-measure tuxedo created with eco-friendly Merino wool. According to Livia’s blog, the wool is sourced from Australian non “mulesed” Merino sheep. I have no idea what a mulesed sheep is, but I’m glad these weren’t.

Also in Ermenegildo Zegna was Best Actor nominee Demian Bichir. He wore a made-to-measure tuxedo designed with TROFEO 600 fabric, which is a blend of superfine wool and silk. His bow-tie is crooked but he still looks quite dashing.

Missi Pyle, who played the adorable movie star in the opening scene of The Artist, wore a gown designed by the winner of this year’s Red Carpet Green Dress design contest.  She looked beautiful, I loveee the color of this gown.

Last but not least, the Fabulous Firths.  Livia, the mastermind behind the Challenge, looked stunning in a red Valentino gown made from recycled PET fabric and Valentino’s house silk.  Colin wore his tux from last year – yay recycling!
